That's why I had GGG beating Jacobs and nelo in the first crack.

I think he has more tools but he has been fading in his late thirties...

Jacobs and nelo are explosive dudes but they can be lose and take unecessary punishment.

+ In Danny's case his chin is not on nelo's level, which is why I could favor nelo, if Danny goes to war he is getting chinned IMO, he needs to fight a perfect fight, use his jab and move...
GGG's talent hasn't been tested vs the very best until just recently and he barely got by. Hardly as explosive or dominating. His fight with DJ and 1st fight with Nelo were not clear w's.

I do agree that he rightfully won vs DJ (the kd was huge) and should have edged out Nelo in the 1st fight.

GGG needs guys like Lemmy and Vanes to turn back the hands of time.

It would only be UNFAIR if Danny could skip the weigh-in and retain the belt otherwise it was a tactical decision that did not pay off anyways

Are you going to cry if Canelo chooses to wear NEW shoes and Danny uses an old pair????
Are you going to cry if Jacobs hydrates above the limit vs Canelo and beats him?

Canelo needs guys like Rocky, and Liam but so much not Khan. Khan put on a boxing clinic vs Canelo!

Not Trout. The Lara fight was close, the controversy was understandable.

Kell never fought Khan or Canelo but would be a good fighter on either resume.

Never mind. You're too wrapped up in your biases to have a logical discussion with.

Kell is a good bit bigger than Khan. Khan is maybe a natural 140 guy and Kell looks a good two weight classes bigger. Stopping him is more impressive than stopping Khan who always had chin issues.

I personally think Danny went in there to survive 12 rounds and his hope was he would get a hometown decision. He saw what happened with Kov/Ward and thought going the distance would be enough. He fought well and tough and brave and I think we were all surprised that his chin didn't fail him. He showed he was a tough, skilled smart fighter in the GGG fight. Fight of his life, and in hindsight no surprise he showed up considering how tough he must be to come back from cancer.

But it was still a clear L. In the Jacobs GGG fight Jacobs had a couple clear rounds he won (6,10). But the fight was over after 9 rounds. GGG won 4 of the first 6 and then 8 and 9. Round 1 was a clear nick for GGG, number 2 was close so shading it to Danny was the way to go. Round 3 the clearest to that point and was GGG's as he started to get warmed up. 4 and 5 big to GGG, 6 a very good round for Danny. 7 was close, 8 and 9 were clear to GGG. 10 pretty clear to Danny. 11 was close and then 12 I thought was pretty close but GGG had a big margin in punches landed so pretty clear round for him.

If you split 7 and 11 you get 8-4 for GGG which is probably the right score. To find a way to get to 7 rounds for Danny is just really stretching it, especially when you are the clear challenger and get dropped, and hurt a few times. I didn't think Canelo did much better, at least in terms of rounds won, but that's mainly because he didn't have any real clear rounds against GGG. GGG's constant scoring combined with Canelo's fighting in spurts just makes it tough for Canelo to rack up clear rounds on him, so far at least. Who knows what would happen in a 3rd fight. The Canelo fights were more competitive though imo and at least Canelo was the money king in boxing so him getting a dubious decision is not nearly as bad as Danny expecting one because Danny was the clear challenger in every way.
