Usyk is quietly going under the radar in 'The big 3' Heavyweights discussion. I'm expecting another landmark year from the Ukrainian , with a shot at AJ to follow.

Comments Thread For: Hearn: Povetkin Knows Career at Stake in Usyk Fight

This will be a good fight, but it won't answer every question regarding Usyk at HW. Povetkin definitely has fight ending power in his fists, but he's not one of the giants of the division - Usyk may even be slightly taller if not nearly as stocky. Assuming Usyk wins this first test, I'd like to see him in with someone 6'5" or taller to see if he can handle the reach advantage the likes of Joshua, Wilder or Fury will have over him. I know he beat Joyce in the amateurs, but those fights are not 12 x 3 minute rounds. Comparing the amateur and professional codes of boxing is like comparing sprinters to distance runners.

Love this. Really want to see Usyk do well at HW but can't see him being able to handle the power of some bigger guys.
Usyk wins, but only just, v Povetkin.

How is his career 'at stake'?
He is 40 years old, and an Olympic / World Champion.
He's got nothing left to prove.
Seriously, Hearn talks total **** sometimes / most of the time.

Fighting povetkin in his first hw fight? Usyk gotta be hands down the most game fighter in boxing right now

Hunter a great boxer, very good jab but despite being very durable and awkward Usyk beat him pillar to post.
If Hunter moves up and enters the Top10 at least, why not that would be a great fight.
