No idea who Bryce Harper is. I won't even google it because Bryce is a ****** name. Sounds like the type of person who would wear a sweater vest.

Much bigger $$$$$ pool in team sports. There are base salaries that would make many pro boxers upset.

Regarding Nelo vs Bryce, Nelo is the king.

      5 yrs = 10+ fights.
      13 yrs @ 100+ games per......

I'm not sure if Nelo has to keep winning, though. Any source for that contractual stipulation ?

For Bryce it's 13 years x 162 games...2106 games...not including spring training or postseason...Bryce is working a LOT more than Canelo for his $$

Don't know about the stipulation, but who would you pick to beat Canelo right now around 160/168? I can't pick a single fighter right now.

Danny Jacobs is another great test and after that all potential opponents are highly inexperienced. They won't be ready for the stage. Mark my words

He's a baseball player. Although I don't watch baseball I do appreciate the sport...they play WAY too many games though.

Bryce is a Top 5 player in the league and it's very rare a Top 5 player in any league goes to free agency without being traded or released...when they're 26 entering their prime. So it was a big deal free agent signing especially for Philly as Philly has always been a medium-sized market.

Very few guys play full seasons

I'd expect 140ish games per. That's still a ton of games (Like you stated, not including pre and post season).

I don't see Nelo losing his next 10 fights but who knows. Bryce can get hurt, not play and still get that money (unless there's a clause). The Phillies can come in last every season and he still gets paid. If he does terrible, he still gets paid (even if he's traded).

That's the sweeet part of team sports. All of that guaranteed $$$$. Most guys decline once they get that fat contract.

Some of you dudes do not understand this.

Harper’s deal is better for various reasons.

All very true points, but the Phillies play in a hitter-friendly park.

Bryce will AVERAGE 25-30 homeruns over the life of his contract 26-39 or for however long he stays in Philly.

Over the next few years Bryce could realistically hit 45 homeruns. Citizens Bank Park is that good to hitters and the Phils have a few other guys (Hoskins, etc.) who can help Bryce get pitched to

Canelo could legitimately lose to Danny. That's why it's a good fight. And it's impossible to predict any more than 1 year out. Currently though none of the current MW crop seems ready for a Canelo fight (aside from GGG and Danny)

Bryce is a solid player from how his stats are praised. I don't really follow baseball year round. He's in his prime and if all goes accordingly, no major changes to his health/game, he should put up HOF numbers over the course of his career. Still doesn't mean the Phillies will be a playoff contender

Boxing is that sport where one punch can really change a career. DJ has that punch. Nelo isn't the hardest guy to hit (although I'd rate his chin and defense better than DJ's).

One fight you're on top of the world, next fight you're possibly waiting to regain consciousness. On paper, DJ has a good chance (40% imho). Nelo has been in with better comp and has learned from those fighters.
