Always have been an Ortiz fan. The guy makes no excuses, enters the ring in shape, gives 100% every time. He has a great attitude and work ethic. All fighters should have the same m.o. and we fans would get better fights to watch. Hopefully he gets another title shot soon.

As always we'll see if Ortiz has it or not. The first next bad fight he has its over at his age. He struggled to put his last opponent away who went on to fight a mountain lion bc he's not a top fighter.

Hammer looked better then Ortiz in the opening workouts which don't mean much. Hammers a slight step up from Kaufman but that's meaningless.

If Ortiz still is at top level he needs to stop Hammer that's a fact of he wishes to be taken seriously since he's going to continue to fight these fights.

Would also probably AJ's best win, or at least up there with Wlad.

Strange how he is completely ignored by AJ/Hearn.
You are talking as if it's a given that AJ would beat Ortiz. That would be a great fight and a competitive one. Either man could win that one. Ortiz is better boxer and heavy handed while AJ is likely a little heavier handed but not as crafty a boxer. Both have good chins but have shown vulnerability as pretty much every HW does at some point in their career. Dont count King Kong out brother!! Let's hope we see it this year or eat next.

          Absolutely!!! AJ could easily lose.

Ortiz is almost old enough for AJ to consider him. Lets hope we see it.

He looked great in his last fight. Boxed well.

Ortiz is a good advertisement for "just for men"

Look at that perfectly uniform pure black head of hair

A stay busy fight for Ortiz is good. He's good for the division so hope he doesn't let all this talk of age get to him.

He's had enough stay busy fights, about 23 of them.

It's a decent enough fight, but Ortiz is expected to win by pretty much anyone who isn't specifically a fan of Hammer. Ortiz by stoppage around the middle rounds - no later than the 8th.
Hammer is a top 20 HW, but is about as low an opponent that Ortiz could credibly face while still aiming for another title shot.

The more you fight the more money you make. Ortiz isn't super rich and so can't afford to fight once a year like the high rollers Canelo and Joshua cause he also has a family to support. Basic math 101
