its obvious the judges are going to favor the lead promoters fighter in order to land future work with not only that promoter but other promoters who see they play ball.
Interesting and very well said. Which fits the old saying "Hidden in plain view".

I agree that boxing has built-in biases on many levels, the scoring of fights being the most prominent. My remarks were in response to the cretins that keep insisting that there are direct bribes and payoffs to the judges. That makes little sense for obvious reasons. If there were payoffs of the kind described, there is a multitude of reporters and other private sector folks, in addition to public authorities who would jump on that and expose it.

They can then bask in the notoriety and glory that will follow and then sell the books and movies rights later to make a bunch of money?

Ah, I know why! Oscar and Golden Boy have bribed everyone around the world who would have the authority to shut down his schemes to bribe judges.

By far the ******est post I've read in a while. Smh. Bribes can be very indirect. A business associate of Oscars' could have provided a good job for 2 people that are friends or relatives of a judge. The company where the jobs were granted, could even have been owned by an associate of Oscar's associate.

Thats just one example of a multifaceted indirect bribe system, that would be a nightmare to prove in a court of law.

I hope you're very young, as that would be an excuse for your ignorance. Or maybe you're just one of those people that think Lee Harvey Oswald killed Kennedy and they put flouride in the water for our teeth.

        Smh.

Yep, they also said it about Ali and other greats in some of their fights. Now with social media, every dim bulb can blather whatever pops in his or her head and allege anything without a shred of proof.

They would be prosecuted and jailed in Vegas if there was any proof. These judges judge 100's of fights. Theyre not gonna take bribes at this level.

These dumb asses have never seen Canelo live. He hits hard and you can hear it feel it if close enough to ring. His style and punch sounds are very judge friendly. You dont guess if his punches are partially blocked or if he landed or didnt land.

Of course Canelo doesn't know what it feels like to be screwed over by judges...

It's like a millionaire saying: If you're worried by your bills, you've already lost.

Well if I am going to post ****** stuff it is better to post the "******est" post than to post a ****** post that is only mediocre. Of course, bribes and biases can be indirect and most often they are, and thanks for the example of the indirect bribe. Now anyone will be able to spot an indirect bribe. As for my age, I will share this much: I am not young, in point of fact I am old, so I can't use that as an excuse for my ignorance.

I am not well versed in conspiracy theories. I mostly read mainstream periodicals and such so I will confess that I don't know who killed Kennedy (JFK not RFK), and I don't know who or why "they" put flouride in the water.

Good points. Boxing is a huge economic driver for Vegas. Corruption of the kind described by some folks who post on this site would be a scandal of international proportions and easily detected by following the money. I doubt that the city and the casinos would risk losing 100's of millions a year.

Jacobs knows that he won't get a decision if it goes to the cards.

So he damn well better NOT let this fight go to a decision. Go for the KO or go home. I don't want to hear any crying from him afterwards if he lets it go the distance.
