Its been talked about b4, and i think no one can say for sure where it comes from, some say akward angles, others say because hes so unorthodox, but i tend to agree wit the people who think its becuase he commits to every punch and i also think its because he believes in his punchin power so much, and belief is a powerful thing...every punch he trys to knock you out wit it seems like, he leaps, he bursts up from a crouchin position, usin angles, so i guess its all of the above and maybe more, i miss watchin him fight, his arrogance, ring entrances, flip over the rope, backflips cartwheels and all type of acrobats in the ring, he was an entertainer, not just a boxer, he made sure u got ur moneys worth, and i do believe when he left brendan ingle that he ****ed his career up, manny and oscar took all his abilitys and put them in a cage, brendan knew that naseem was naturally gifted and didnt try to change him just work around his style, i remember in the kelley fight in between rounds brendans instructions were simple and seemed ****** "stay on the outside and throw ur bombs" or something like that, and u would think anybody can tell a fighter that, but thats all u had to tell naseem, u didnt have to give him a game plan and brendan knew that, all u had to do was let him do him. Naseems power and explosiveness was amazing, and it was a privledge to be able to see him perform during my times, to bad he let his career go down like that. But i believe had brendan been in his corner for the barrera fight it would have gone differently, not to discredit barrera and his amazing performance, but i really do.
Prince naseem, where did all that damn power come from???

i believe most of his power comes form his un orthodox style
he had speed and power and his style makes a great combination for
knockouts
because he throws a fast punch from an odd angle with power
the opponent doesnt see it comming which leads to being
dazed or koed -

I don't think the lack of Brendan in his corner contributed to the loss to Barrera. He was said to have not trained properly for the fight and was getting too much into his power they said. Counting too much on it and figuring he could knock people out before the 5th. For the Barrera fight, they said it was his worst condition for a fight and that was one of the reasons he performed so ****ty that night. I also believe it was cause of Manny trying to change him and the fact that you can't change a puncher into a boxer who never really had boxing "skills", to take on one of the greatest boxers ever. Just doesn't work that way.Comment

his legs. those middleweight legs of his help him drive home those huge punches. that and his crazy angles he gets from being so unorthodox.Comment
