I have followed british boxing for the best part of 25 years and have barely heard of anyone on this card, outside of Yarde/Dubois/Williams this is a card full of nobodies at the lowest level you will ever see.....Frank Warren is a joke !!!

If Reeves can box, then he can outbox Yarde.
Yarde can **** a bit, but is still an extremely basic boxer that telegraph's every attacking intent. His defence lacks even more polish and shows signs of an over-protected, possibly chinny ****er.
The man should spend less time perfecting a beach bod and more time perfecting the craft that pay his bills.

Are you mentally ill? This is just a small hall show bud, matchroom do JD next gen etc this is a good card bringng boxing back to a unique venue, plenty of prospects to watch in action. Not every card is going to be some huge event with flashing lights and world top 10 fighters

Reeves is decent, good jab, can fight on the back foot (Going to need it). But I expect Yarde to walk him down and stop him by the 8th round if not earlier.

I agree with you about some of Yarde's defensive inefficiencies and tendency to telegraph punches but you are underrating his abilities even if he has only fought mediocre competition up to this point. Yarde has great hand speed and power and is quite athletic given his muscular build. He is a gym rat. He is incredibly dedicated and determined.
He definitely needs to step up the competition, especially considering his high ranking in multiple governing bodies. You're learning nothing when you're fighting guys you're supposed to knock out in every fight. Yarde only had 12 amateur fights so you can forgive his camp for stepping him up slow but when you're rising in the ranks and not stepping up the level of competition accordingly, once you get to a world title you could be out of your depth. He should be fighting guys in the top 25 not the top 50, top 75.

I've not seen him train - apart from the staged clips he used to do for the Maximuscle ad's, so just going off his in-ring performances. Judging from those he could do with less time on weights and more time sparring - especially targeted sparring based on his upcoming opponent.
I agree he seems to be getting punished by public opinion based on his high ranking from fighting journeymen and knock-over jobs; but it's up to his management team to justify his ranking by matching him better, and it's up to the man himself to justify his position in the ring.
There's no doubt the potential is there, but he can't talk about fighting Kovalev next when he's not yet fought another genuine contender - at least not if he wants anyone (even himself) to believe he has a chance of winning.
