Earl stop.... Wilder was literally willing to leave Showtime to get this done, but Americans have to have everything their way? Child, what is wrong with you?
2. Despite Fury's new Top Rank deal Wilder was still willing to push on and negotiate the rematch.
3. Wilder stated that he had no problem flighting on any network.
That's not having everything his way. That's him bending and being willing to compromise in order to get a fight made.
The blame for the rematch not happening is completely with the other side.
50/50 against a fighter you robbed and he's the bigger draw anyway.
Did he push on and still negotiate? We didn't hear anything.
Wilder fans trying to change their tune now. They were certain Wilder wasn't going to fight on ESPN. Now Fury has said he wants a warm up they're going to try and act like Wilder was.

Nobody believed that, not even his fans. So just stop.

Why does he have to be willing ? He's not contracted by them ? Purse bids would get that fight on ESPN with no road blocks but really Shelley Finkel who's been protecting his baby prospect for 4 years now.
This dude refuses to concede **** and if he doesn't get everything his way it's a duck?
Dafuq?
Anthony Joshua asked for $50m guaranteed to fight, and Hearn confirmed with Haymon that the offer was legitimate; Joshua declined.
Deontay Wilder asked for a 60/40 Joshua split on the fight, to come to Wembley Fall 2018; Hearn/Joshua instead offered $15m on a fight that likely clears $45m+ (65/35, with that quickly moving towards 70/30 Joshua).
Deontay Wilder swallowed his pride and said fine, I'll take the short money for the fight in the Fall; Hearn moved it to Spring 2019.
Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury were set to have their rematch fought on a 50/50 split of the event proceeds; Frank Warren secretly makes a deal to instead sign over Fury's next 5 fights to Top Rank, immediately looking to now dictate terms to Wilder.
This is the only time I can safely say Wilder has gone over backwards to make a fight (The Fury rematch), I cannot fault him at all. The WBC had the split at 60/40 in his favour and he was willing to do 50/50 with Fury. He even claimed he isn’t signed to any networks. He might have overplay his hands with the fake 50m offer but you cannot blame him for this one. This is all on Fury.
Omg this sh it again? It’s funny how non Americans call out Americans for being crying little betches but y’all are the one making multiple threads crying about wilder.
Why not this 40-40 split with the winner getting the extra 20!! Put your damn money where your mouth is fawking AJ and fawking wilder!!

Agreed.
I do think however that Haymon lobbied the WBC to call purse bids and therefore pressure Fury into taking less than 50% which possibly pushed Fury over the edge to go to ESPN.
By the time it came out that Fury had 50% on the table maybe he was too far deep with ESPN and they decided to try and marinate the rematch instead.
Either way, Deyonce is not at fault for this one. He got outmanoeuvred in a business sense though. Fury and Joshua are bigger earners.
He's about to drop to the level of Whyte in earning power. 6 or 7 mill tops for a fight against Breazeale. That's a hard position to negotiate from going forward. He needs a big fight to stay on the playing field. Maybe he can get Whyte instead of Breazeale?

I actually feel a little bit of sympathy for Wilder, he’s going from expecting 20m dollars in the rematch if the fight does well back to 2/3m dollars for his next fight (If it’s on PBC/Showtime). You got to be pissed with that.
If I was expecting £20,000 in my next fight and someone pulls out and my next opponent brings me £2000 I would be suicidal.
