Comments Thread For: Joshua: Even After I Beat Miller, I Don't Want His Respect

Anthony Joshua fully expects everything about his life to be the same after his forthcoming U.S. debut on June 1 versus Brooklyn's Jarrell Miller. He expects to leave New York City's Madison Square Garden with his unbeaten record still intact and his slew of heavyweight titles still firmly in his possession. He also figures to feel the same way about Miller as he does right now-with no love at all for his upcoming challenger, who hasn't hesitated in disrespecting the unbeaten Brit at every turn.

Ricky Hatton said it first and best, "it's not a tickling contest out there, is it?"

Joshua doesn't respect Miller either, so it goes both ways. I expect both men to respect each other after the fight, even if they don't openly say it. Makes no difference to me to be honest. I just want to see a good scrap.

Not so media-trained now is he?

      Saying what he wants.

I think AJ has always been genuine. Always had that happy psychopath vibe that a lot of top fighters do

None of this changes the likely outcome of the fight. Joshua likely won't be given any respect to not accept and he likely won't sadistically beat down Miller like all of the AJ fans want to fell like he is. This will either be a snooze fest where Joshua controls the fight with a jab, or Miller gets caught with an uppercut trying to duck in (pressing the action trying to win) and gets stopped late. I see the snooze fest as Miller will likely choose a decision loss over the risk of a KO loss trying to go for the win late.

I couldn't agree more, I think this 'fake' thing started with Dillian Whyte and lots of people jumped on the bandwagon, and by the way what's wrong with getting media training in the first place...I see no issue with it.

I just don't think many posters here can relate to him because he's not jumping around acting like an idiot. He reminds me of Ward in many ways, he talks well and is mostly a gentleman, but if you threaten him he will stand his ground and hold court, you're not gonna bully them. Ward is a little more articulate, and Joshua a bit more aggressive.

Breazele also talked a lot. Couldn't even land a shot on AJ. Povetkin on the other hand wasn't much of a talker and not speaking English has nothing to do with it.

Josh probably not used to be **** talked to in his daily life people probably go out of their way to be nice to him. So hes not used to Miller.
But after beating miller im sure miller will want to kiss josh shoes.
I don't see how miller beats josh, as its obvious miller don't train as hard as josh. Only Wlad was comparable in how dedicated he is, and coming close was as good as Wlad got.
Im not sure fury is as dedicated as josh, but fury might win on natural ability.

Why would you want his respect? You wouldn't have proven shit other than you can defeat an overmatched, cherrypicked underdog opponent. He is an underdog for a reason dumbass; Largely because you picked him.

If he could fight and wasn't a safe and vulnerable opponent, then you wouldn't have fucked with him in the first place. However in any case, It's time for you to start stepping up your game playah and that's real talk.

You need to start taking on some serious challenges and dangerous risks out here; Because since defeating Klitschko your ass ain't done shit but duck Deontay Wilder.
