Lennox was hated by boxing media far more than he was by American Fans. I was a HUGE Lennox Lewis fan even over American Fighters. Rooted for him vs Tyson, Holyfield, Michael Grant it really wasn't a factor for MOST FANS. However the Jim Lampley's and Larry Merchant's of the world HATED HIM! You can go back and watch the HBO Broadcast and hear the negative undertone towards Lennox Lewis
You Brits are trying way too hard to make US vs UK a Rivalry when it is not one. No other country embrace Foreigners like America especially when it comes to Athletes and ACTORS. Proof of that is Tyson Fury most recently who I would say been accepted with Open Arms here in the US because of his Big Personality
Stop going by this forum thinking everybody thinks like you because when you attend boxing events in person you see that most people are NOT like the Trolling Fools on the Internet. You would think all Brits love Eddie Hearn if you're on this forum but he is actually HATED and gets booed out of the building at his own events every time they put his face on the screen
It is about the fighter and his style for me, I don't give a sh#t which country they're from
