Comments Thread For: Joseph Parker Ready, Willing To Fight Tyson Fury Next

Joseph Parker's promoter, David Higgins, makes it known that his boxer has no problem with facing facing fellow former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury in the coming months. Parker was in talks to fight Dereck Chisora on April 20th in London, but the negotiations were dragging out much longer than expected - forcing Parker and his handlers to walk away from the table.

Obvious when he pulled out of Chisora negotiations.

Parker is lazy / inactive at the best of times

This is the worst clash of styles you could hope for

Stylistically this would be horrible fight for Parker, he chased the smaller Fury around for 12 rounds trying to land something to little avail. The only reason he kept his belt that night was because Hughie literally threw nothing back while getting on his bike, and Parker was rewarded for actually trying to engage. Tyson is even more elusive than his younger cousin, and he's always throwing out point-scoring if light punches.

Meaningful fight but terrible style match up. hard to see it not being dull. Might make the most sense in the end if no rematch.

Yeah but Tyson has been floured all of his career. Wilder, Cunningham, McDermott, most of the times by a right cross or right rabbit punch, so you would think most decent HWs think they have a chance to chin him...and maybe for the count.

Whenever I read what Higgins is saying I read it in his voice.

Back to the point though, I don't like this fight. It would be a dull fight with Fury just giving Parker a boxing lesson.

Let's have paint dry Parker vs fluff fury for 12 rounds with an average of 4 punches per round

Yeah, he takes a Wilder right hand, but Joseph Parker is going to be the one who sleeps him
