What a complete waste of training time that spar was, between Joyce and Joshua.

There used to be a channel where, Mayweather would show the sparring in his gym 'That was real sparring what you can learn from etc'.

I always liked the way Adam Booth & Haye valued sparring partner, they would really go all out in employing the best.

Note: The UFC or Mixed Martial Arts worlds has even more useless sparring than in boxing.

Mayweather boxing gym were known for notorious sparring, they don’t sugar coat anything at all.

And yeah I saw Kamaru us AJ and his sparring partners (Yeah they were more just playing spar). Not sure why? Maybe they are more into not getting cuts or injured etc

I am also not a fan of a high number of rounds, or constant sparring all year round 'Quality over quantity, sparring should be a like a real fight' I remember Chris Eubank Senior stating? that he took his worst beatings in the gym, the gym was where he learnt mostly 'He stated some fighters believe fight night is where you learn' I also agree with Eubank's philosophy.

I did watch a few gym spars in Mayweather gym, where they would do continuous rounds 'There was no such thing as 3 minutes rounds, it was just a continuous spar'.
