The WBC just needs to take it to Pursebids

Obviously in regards to the Tyson Fury Deontay Wilder rematch. Its the fight we all want right now, its the fight we thought we were going to get. The WBC sanctioned it and then a little later ordered it, they have now allowed 2 extensions with the 2nd one being limitless timewise. It is becoming quite clear the 2 fighters are starting to look in other directions and this fight right now is looking very much off.

The WBC can force this if they really want it and if they sanction and then order a rematch of a voluntary and freeze out their mandatory yet again then i get the impression they really want it.

My cynical side tells me that the WBC is a corrupt piece of **** organization who colludes with promoters of certain fighters to ensure things go their way. My cynical side tells me they sanctioned the rematch as a way of telling Dillian Whyte and Dom Breazeale to shut up about getting Wilder right now.

My cynical side then tells me the ordered the rematch because Tyson Fury and his trainer were talking about taking a step back, getting back to fitness so there is no reason why Wilder could not negotiate with Joshua, Joshua and Hearn were waiting to jump in with offers and contracts that Finkel had been brushing off as Fury was their goal right now. That then looks bad on Wilder as at that point there is no reason why they could not start negotiations, something Finkel and Wilder dont want, so they then ORDER the rematch.(how often do they order rematches of voluntary defences?) Now there is a very solid reason why Finkel and Wilder can once again ignore Hearn and Joshua and the emails and phone calls and offers and contracts and have an excuse why now.

But now Joshua has signed up for something else but Fury has signed to ESPN. Im sure Haymon and Finkel would of been very confident of rolling right over Frank Warren in any purse bids but i bet they are not half as confident of just rolling right over Bob Arum with the backing of ESPN. |And thats why Pursebids wont be forced because thats not what Haymon wants. But the WBC have the power and if they were honest and stuck to their own rules this would be forced on the fighters.

You can't mandate it if both sides don't agree to it. On Wilder's side they can strip him, but on Fury's side there isn't a punishment you can put on him that does him much harm.

And supposedly Fury's side opted out or thats what I saw someone say who's respectable here. If that's legit 100% idk for a fact, but I think everyone reasonable & knowledgeable about boxing would agree adding Mr In House Fight to this situation makes this fight much less likely to happen next regardless of 3rd party action.

Well as far as i was aware both sides are still saying its still an option, neither side have ruled the fight out, i heard that only yesterday the WBC demanded to be informed of updates by Tuesday or Wednesday next week.

Im not saying it sounds ON but im saying it doesnt sound like its completely OFF just yet. Which means the WBC still have the power to push it to purse bids. Im guessing if they did that we will likely get both sides walking away. But its worth doing if the WBC still have interest in it.

I don't think Fury wants the rematch and that makes a purse bid useless because Fury won't agree to fight Wilder and the WBC can't do anything to Fury.

Sure both are talking about the fight but the purse bid situation appears off. The WBC Guy is apparently trying to clarify it now but it seems over.

And again the WBC & the world could wanna see the rematch, but only Wilder is invested in following it through cuz he could lose his belt if he doesn't. Fury has nothing to lose.

And I mean we all know Arum isn't a guy who's letting a big name guy appealing fight go to a purse bid. And honestly what promoter would? Almost none. Its a rare happening.

Arum is gonna try to make it happen on ESPN PPV & if Wilder doesn't bend there won't be a battle to decide where the fight takes place at to the highest bidder. If Arum IS open to a highest bidder situation I'd be shocked. And there is no way Wilder is gonna sign a TR deal when he's getting back end money from Haymon & doesn't have to sign some sketchy ass promoter contract to get it.

Yea it was weird for sure. I can't recall a situation similar to this one in the past. But as we know the ABC Groups make "rules" on the fly.
