Was Khan called a warrior for taking a career high payday vs a larger opponent?

I thought that fight was a pointless mismatch too. Refresh my memory please NSB community. Was Khan lauded as being brave and having heart for taking the Canelo fight during the build up by the boxing fans? If not how is what he did any different from what Garcia is doing?

I don't believe he'll make anywhere near Khan made. He could have chosen an easier opponent and got good money too. He went for what is seen by most as the best WW.

Yes, people always bring out that ****** "but he'd daring to be great doe" line every time one of these smaller guys goes into a suicide mission against a bigger guy in a higher weight class. I really hope people will stop encouraging these mismatches after Garcia gets beat down and KO'd by Spence.
