You know, I may be a Floyd fan after all...

I've had my qualms with Floyd Mayweather over the years, but I got to say. The guy's smart as hell when it comes to marketing and selling and business. I liked the stance he took on being an American and not an African-American and beyond that, it's his money. He did earn it. He has every right to spend it how he chooses. And yeah, I wasn't big on his style in his later years and so on, but the guy has been tremendously successful and he worked the game in his favor. Do I think he's the best of all time? No, but I do like his style. He appreciates success and encourages it. I like Floyd and I think he really gets the business side of boxing. And his style, like it or not, worked. He did often land the cleaner more telling blows and it paid off for him. So praise to Floyd Mayweather!

I’m appalled by some of his actions outside the ring and lack of remorse for it but no one can deny this guy played the perfect game in and out the ring. The way he marketed and promoted himself was genius, his book “Money” edited by Tris Dixon is an interesting read on how he was able to generate so much interest. I never actually had a problem with his style either tbh, it was very safety first but he showed such an incredible display of boxing ability in negating his opponents, I always quite enjoyed Floyd fights- even though I was usually rooting for the other guy😂😂
