Comments Thread For: Hearn: Miller Used Smart Ploy, Wants Joshua To Fight Like Maniac

Anthony Joshua came face-to-face with Jarrell Miller for the first time at a press conference in New York. The pair will clash for Joshua's WBA Super, IBF, WBO and IBO world titles on June 1 at Madison Square Garden. Joshua was originally meant to fight at Wembley Stadium on April 13, exclusively live on Sky Sports Box Office in the UK and DAZN Stateside.

Nothing 'smart' about it. Edward is trying as he should to sell this mismatch at every and any opportunity. This nonsense behaviour will come as no surprise to Joshua who has already been told by Miller what behaviour to expect. Edward should just tell it as we all know it ....It's a desperate cry for help from a fighter who knows he's in too deep.

          What a Joke

Hey Hearn! Please Stop!. You may convince the Joshua nut huggers and those who don't really follow boxing that this is a competitive fight but for the rest of us we can see right through the theatrics. This is just another blown up opponent designed to pad pretty boy Joshua's record while avoiding any of the real dangerous fighters in the division. Since beating a old wore out already beaten Klitchko he's fought and endless string of smaller or far less talented fighters while you used the media to convince the world he's the best heavyweight out there while at the same time avoiding and real competition. Just admit what this charade really is a farce . Avoid the real fighters like Wilder, Fury, Ortiz and Whyte while you fight Miller, a slow nice guy who only has a heavyweight punchers chance and not much more. Embarrassing, even more embarrassing if he pulls off a miracle and hits slack jaw Joshua on his pretty boy chin

That is very true. He is trying to manipulate Joshua into fighting out of his element by going out there fighting at a very frenzied and fast pace pace in order to rip his head off and risk tiring and punching himself out in the process.

In any event, I did find their press conference quite highly entertaining however. Both guys were talking about taking turns having sex with each other moms. Surprising to me neither guy budged. It seemed to have no effect on either fighter.

I thought the mama jokes always gets under the opponent's skin.

Sure thing buddy, where has he avoided Whyte? He has stopped Whyte in the only professional fight they've had.

Where has he avoided Fury, Ortiz or Wilder?

He arguably has the best resume out of all the guys you mentioned.

I would have preferred them pay Kauffman to go away and fight Ortiz for the US debut.

It's remarkable how just the sight of the word "Hearn" in a thread title turns people into frothing maniacs.

I'd take it, Ortiz has shown willingness in the past and recently through his last promo at AJ.

If we can't AJ up against Wilder or Tyson next which is unlikely, I'd love to see the Ortiz fight.
