    DeGale Vs Eubank predictions

    Groves
I think Eubank [wins] because if they’re both in their primes DeGale would beat him pretty comfortably but DeGale never seems to be fully fit.
He always finishes fights and says he was 30 per cent, he has mad percentages, I don’t know how he works it out.
He hasn’t looked great in the last two years, I think the Badou Jack fight took a lot out of him.
I think he stays pretty light between camps because he struggles with the weight and that’s actually had a negative effect on him, it ages him.
Eubank was riding the wave before he fought me which made him a dangerous fighter but then he lost.

    Calzaghe
It’s an interesting fight. Eubank Jr has obviously come up in weight and based on his last big fight he has a lot to prove as a super-middleweight.
James DeGale also has a lot to prove. Has he still got anything left in the tank?
If I had to pick one, I’d probably go with DeGale, but it’s a close fight. Eubank Jr is a big puncher, and he’s younger and probably fresher at this point.
I just think Eubank Jr is a bit predictable and can be outboxed by good boxers and bigger men and DeGale has always had good boxing skills. He’s also a southpaw and can be awkward when he wants.
He should have enough left to outbox Eubank Jr. They’re both quality fighters but I just think DeGale has that touch of class.

    Frank Warren
James lost his title on my show 18 months ago against [Caleb] Truax. If that James DeGale shows up, I don’t see him winning the fight. But if James DeGale can get himself back to where he was, I believe he will win the fight.
He has the better jab, he has better footwork than Eubank Jr. But the fight is not what Jr brings to the table, it is what James DeGale brings to the table.
Hopefully he will be back to his best and he can win the fight but I don’t know what he will bring to the table at the moment.

    Billy Joe Saunders
I think it’s a very interesting fight. I’ve obviously beat Eubank and I’ve done many rounds with DeGale.
I think that it’s strange, anybody with a little bit of boxing ability, like George Groves, he’s a good fighter and I think he was past his best even when he beat Eubank. Holding Eubank off with that stiff back hand, as he come, in bam, hit him and made him think. How you make him think even more is use your feet, and DeGale’s got better footwork than Groves. The way I weigh it up is if he [DeGale] turns up how he boxed [Caleb] Truax the first fight, he gets beat. If he turns up the way he boxed the second fight I still think he’ll win. Just that much improvement. Because anybody with footwork and a jab can beat him.
But good luck to both of them. I hope DeGale wins.
Hopefully please God I become world champion and I will invite one of them [the DeGale-Eubank winner] in the ring with me to have a chance to be world champion.

    Robbie Davies Jr
I think if DeGale has the hunger and discipline through his camp then he should win, hands down, but Eubank Jr is a good fighter so if DeGale is not at his best then possibly an upset, but I'm edging towards DeGale to win on points.

    Frank Buglioni
I think if James boxes to the best of his ability then he will box to a points victory.
I believe Eubank will want to draw him into a war where he is very dangerous. Eubank Jr has tremendous output but can neglect his jab and footwork and DeGale has a high level of both of those assets. My gut feeling is DeGale will box to victory, having to overcome some tough periods, perhaps even a knockdown. Both men possess solid chins so I think a stoppage will be unlikely.
It’s a fight I’m very much looking forward to and having known James for a long time and recently sparred together, I will be routing for him."

I personally think Eubank’s gonna beat him.
I didn’t watch Eubank in Saudi when he boxed on the undercard of George, apparently he didn’t look his best, but the thing is he’s done that a lot. He’s messed about with lower-level fighters and everyone goes: ‘what’s he doing?’
He doesn’t like to give away a lot, he’s quite a shrewd bloke.
James DeGale doesn’t punch as hard as George Groves. The one thing that dictated the pace of that fight was George Groves’ jab and his punching power. It wasn’t his movement.
DeGale’s gonna try and move a little bit more, personally I think so. He’ll try and punch in combinations and you can’t meet a good combination puncher head on, Eubank’s a combination puncher.
DeGale shouldn’t try and meet him with combinations, he should just try and pick him off for singles and not overly move around.
The achilles heel for Chris Eubank is power. If you’re really heavy handed and you can stunt him, he’s not gonna walk you down and throw at the same pace that he would be able to if you were slightly more feather fisted.
A few years ago I think DeGale would have beat him, but I think James is on the slide and I’m just gonna favour Eubank on that one.
I wouldn’t be surprised if DeGale beats him on points, but I personally think Eubank will beat him - he might even stop him late on.

It's hard to predict because not only is DeGale shot, he's also very average. Eubank looked embarrassingly bad against Groves but even that Eubank would beat Truax.

I think DeGale beats him by decision.
I think Eubank Jr is very basic lol.. his dad doesn’t help him improve by suggesting he is the next Roy Jones jr.

I think he loses a sloppy fight and pisses a lot of people off who had faith in him

I think Eubank beats DeGale on points or by KO.

I truly believe that Eubank will score a big KO in this fight. Eubank will look great from start to finish while DeGale will look slow and pretty washed up.

I'm hoping De-Gale wins this one and the only way I see him winning is on points.
So my prediction is De-Gale by UD.
