Comments Thread For: WBC Prez: Wilder, Fury Owe Rematch To The Fans

The WBC remain "confident" the rematch between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder will occur, but will consider ordering purse bids if it's put in jeopardy. Fury signing with ESPN has cast significant doubt over the likelihood of him fighting WBC champion Wilder as planned this summer, but the sanctioning body remains determined that arguably the world's most eagerly-awaited fight will imminently happen.

If Fury wasn't robbed there wouldn't even be a quarter of the interest. Wilder is the paper champ, he owes the fans.

wilder is a network free agent point blank. a promotional free agent. if he's doesn't want to fight on espn when its obvious he can then the blame will fall on him.

He didn't get robbed,he was kd twice & most the early rds were very close & could've gone either way,if Wilder would've been given the Win you can make a case Fury was robbed, but it was a draw & imho that was a fair result despite me thinking Fury won by a rd or 2 because of the kds.

Fans need to stop saying their guy was robbed in a close fight.

Both Loma and Crawford don't have any exclusive network deals. So them not wanting to fight Mikey or any of the PBC WWs on Showtime and Fox should also be blamed for the fights not happening.

Loma would get kod by Mikey, hes always known it & Arum knows it. & I think Crawford gets beat by Spence & he knows it as well as bob.

Arum's fighters are content with being spoiled with cherries & being ranked p4p by espn controlled media.

Fury has no where to go he is a boring fighter. No1 is clamoring to watch any of his fights before the Wilder fight no1 cared for him. Wilder brought him back to life with those 2knockdowns because it was heading towards a boring fight.
The two most exciting and clean fighters Wilder and AJ deliver power and KOs what you want to see in Heavyweights. Fury throws pitty patt punches and if it weren’t for the drugs he wouldn’t have made it out the Wilder fight. He needs an opponent to make the fight exciting or else ESPN is in for trouble

that's wrong! Top Rank has an exclusive deal with espn meaning that all their fighters are exclusive to espn. loma and crawford are of course promoted by Top rank. pbc has no structure nobody is tied to any promoter and they free to fight on any network.
