Pretty solid, even with a short notice opponent. This is a star, take notes Thank and Floyd

I'm actually a Santa Cruz fan. I just didn't expect this card to perform well. I'm glad it got as high as it did.

There's only so much Floyd and tank can do, we all know Mexicans and British fans are the best , stronger fans in the world, ..ex Andre ward was the best p4p fighter at some point and he couldn't even sell out an arena , they were literally giving away free tickets when he fought kovalev rematch, to me tank Davis is better than santa Cruz but the fans are the ones that make up the numbers

These are NOT good numbers for Fox flagship, which is in nearly 120 million US homes. They could do better ratings showing a rerun of Cops or the Simpsons.
For context, this card averaged about as many viewers as "Pioneer Woman" on Food Network and "Your Worst Nightmare" on Invest network (whatever that is) last Saturday.

Hopefully Fox executives will turn the screws on Haymon until he actually matches up his A-side fighters on the flagship. We should be seeing fights like LSC-GRJ, Charlo 154-Harrison rematch and the winner vs. Hurd, Wilder's non-PPV fights, etc. headlining on Fox. Not trash A-side/D-side mismatches with out-of-shape vs. washed up as the co-main. And they should be featuring packed arenas with great crowds for atmosphere, not half empty Microsoft Theater.

I wouldn't say those are very good numbers at all. They should be averaging above or right around 2M. This card averaged around 1.4M, clearly the worst of the PBC on FOX series with the new deal. Opponent was not on par and it took place right against the All Star Weekend events.

Loma's last fight had half a million more viewers for the broadcast and twice as many viewers in the younger demos. It was also on cable, not free TV. LSC is getting nothing close to Loma's numbers.

Injury is part of boxing. These things happen from time to time. Gervonta Davis was crying fowl when Abner Mares backed out of the fight because of a detached retina. That's a potential career ending injury. By the time of the Injury locations are secured, tickets are sold, contracts are made. You are really at the point of no return. So replacements are found.

I personally find these fights dangerous for the A side fighter. Rivera was a tough guy. Santa Cruz stayed disciplined and stuck to daddy's game plan and won. Good fight!

Yeah I dislike the narrative of "fighter B took the fight on a weeks notice". Fighter A had to take the fight on short notice also. Many of these replacements were already in training camp too. Like Korobov who was fighting on that same card as Charlo and Monroe.

This post is another example of not understanding the TV business. It'll be very hard for FOX to be dissatisfied with these PBC numbers considering the price of the content (relative to its former UFC content). I agree that there is room for growth, but if you think FOX's executives aren't happy with these numbers, then you're sadly mistaken.

Not to mention the PPV subsidy (budget relief) that's coming next month. There's nothing but positive feedback from this on the business side.

PBC is starting off stronger than was expected. Especially, the ratings on FS1 and Face to Face.
