Comments Thread For: Hearn: With Fury's Deal, Wilder Should Now Shift Focus To Joshua

Eddie Hearn, who promotes IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, is actually feeling good about Tyson Fury's decision to sign a co-promotional deal with Top Rank. Top Rank has an exclusive content agreement with ESPN, and that factor has created doubts about a potential rematch with WBC champion Deontay Wilder, who is contractually tied to Premier Boxing Champions. PBC has content agreements with Showtime and Fox Sports.

Or Hearn should shift focus on Fury and forget the Wilder circus act ? fury has way more longetivity then wilder and I think wilder is going to slip up and lose to someone else and he's going to have karma hit him and the games are over.

Fury is out the picture imo. He will be froze out until he gets a belt. JoshuaWilder will likely happen after Wilder fights Konawki. No1 likes working with Arum and Joshua would never fight on ESPN. Arum will match him with in house fights against Pulev and Jennings. Wilder is the most exciting heavyweight Fury is a little boring.

Fury draws more then Wilder how or why would they freeze him out ? The only person that can freeze him out is himself if he goes on another mindless 60% rant demand. wilder is going to fight Breazeale ,that's his mandatory. Arum and Hearn have a good relationship unlike the other two problematic ones, with Arum a Tyson fight is very likely soon.

Arum understands the business far more then Warren and co. Joshua could fight on ESPN, he's not a DAZN contracted fighter. Fury could fight on DAZN? In the end that's a far easier fight to make, Hearn just wants Wilders belt is all and that's the bigger fight but Hearn cant force someone to fight ,wilder has to learn how to sign a contract when he's handed one, hes going to look like a fool if he loses to Breazeale for 2 million which is a good possibility. .

wilder fights in may....aj june 1st...fury probably sometime around then

wilder and aj agree to a deal(which could be 2 fight deal with an interim in between).....so now thats later in 2019.....they fight....say the fight is a good close one....they both take interim fight against scrubs....then do it again in late 2020....that means fury will have had to have made 3-4 fights without them.....and they wont be able to keep firing good money at fury without a legit opponent

thats one possible way...probably a longshot...but its possible

Actually almost everyone likes to work with arum. Hearn did Valdez Scott Quigg and just put together Loma vs Crolla. Top Rank put together Loma vs linares and just put together Berchelt vs Vargas with golden boy. Top Rank ya done co Promotions with Warren and Teiken and Don King too.

What u meant to say is PBC is the one of these promoters don’t like to work with.

I rarely agree with anything Hearn says. But, he’s on the money here. I don’t fault Fury for for going out and making a move that’s financially beneficial for himself and his family. But when looking at boxing politics. The move is gonna make making fights with one of the other “Big Three” heavyweights tough to make. So when it comes to Wilder. Instead of d1cking around with Arum, who clearly doesn’t want the Wilder-Fury rematch to be next. He should move on to AJ.

I agree with Hearn on this one. Maybe if the fury fight falls through Wilder will shift to AJ. I think wilder will want to keep the ball rolling with the success of his last fight being on PPV.
