It would take more guts to fight somebody like Loma. This is a win win situation for Mikey. He has nothing to lose and everything to gain. Even if he gets KO'd people will praise him for moving up two weight classes.

Brook is not a good example for two reasons: first - prior to the fight he was exactly the same weight, and his dimensions are almost exactly the same as GGGs. The difference is in the bone structure - one is ww, another mw. Mikey on the other hand is significantly smaller - no matter how you slice it.
second - as already was said - it was not a good outcome for Brook - career ending injury.

Regarding Lomachenko - it seems that there is no immediate danger in fighting him. But what happened to Walters? Where is he? Maybe psychological damage is also real?
