Comments Thread For: Ryan Garcia Added To March 30 Acosta vs. Lopez DAZN Telecast

Ryan Garcia has managed to land in several verbal battles in the past few days, but lost in the shuffle is the one fight that is actually booked. The rising unbeaten lightweight will appear on the undercard of a March 30 DAZN livestream event at Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, California. Garcia will face Puerto Rico's Jose "Wonder Boy" Lopez in a scheduled 10-round bout, BoxingScene.com was informed by the Golden Boy Promotions team over the weekend.

This is great fight! I'm really glad he didn't decided to take a tune up.

Are you talking about Garcia or Acosta? cause Garcia only taking this fight as a stay busy fight since it's rather obvious he's going to be featured on the Canelo/Jacobs undercard. So sure Oscar finds him a weak opponent.

I heard De La Hoya wants to have Ryan Garcia fight Masayuki Ito on the Canelo VS Jacobs card, also De La Hoya just signed Eduardo Hernandez of Mexico, who is the same age and weight as Garcia, so look for Ryan Garcia to defend his title against Eduardo Hernandez after Garcia beats Ito.

He just fought in Dec. They probably trying to get this kid on Cinco de mayo weekend but also want to squeeze 1 more fight in before that.

Since signing with Golden boy Garcia has either fought on the undercard or the day before every Canelo date but 1. There have been 5 Canelo dates. The one he didn't was Canelo/GGG 2 but he fought 2 weeks before so still close. Golden boy is high on him and keeps him as paired closely with Canelo as possible. They did the same thing last year having him fight March 22 then coming back fast for May 4.
