Bob Arum Wants to Delay The Wilder/Fury Rematch

Suddenly cast as a co-promoter of an unbeaten heavyweight he describes as a “generational talent,” Bob Arum on Monday admitted it might make the most sense to delay his fighter Tyson Fury’s rematch with Deontay Wilder until later this year.

Wilder vs Breazeale it is. Fury vs… Pulev?

And people thought Arum was serious about making Crawford vs Spence right now too. This shows his mentality, but to be honest, he's not the only promoter doing this.

Good old boxing. One thing that's constant: we never get the fights we want when we want to see them.

        well there it is...lol

now we can end all the debate and drama....

but what does he do if hearn comes knocking in wilders door this summer? now their forced to pay a bloated rate to fury to fight pulev and jennings and whoever else? what if wilder and aj do a two fight deal with one in the interim and it takes up a couple of years?

Arum being Arum WTF else is new

That being said, Arum and ESPN being APART of Promotion for the rematch could be a Blessing for Fury and Wilder= More Money for BOTH!

Boxing fans just have to be patient, something we HATE being!

Of course he does. God forbid the fans actually get a fight they wanted.

Arum blindsided and worked with Warren to sabotage this fight. There is no way you can recover and work out network issues in time to make the fight with the original date of April or May. So if the fight ever does happen it won't be until later this year or later. We are a couple days away from March they were already under the gun with little time left to make it official to make the May 18 PPV date. Fury is fighting some bum on ESPN then they will strong arm Wilder to fight on ESPN not Showtime for a future fight. But if you Wilder and Haymon and you going to have to work with other networks and promoters I think you rather make that Joshua fight because you will at least get paid more for dealing with all the drama.

But Wilder/Fury II is dead for May.
