He would have been an idiot to walk away from an £80 mil deal. That's not ducking. Wilder cherry picked Fury thinking he wouldn't have much left and then they robbed Fury. He doesn't owe Wilder a thing. Wilder still has a paper belt he shouldn't have.

Lets get it straight, Fury didn't duck or owe Wilder a damn thing.

I agree. Everybody knows Fury won the fight. He has no obligation to give Wilder a rematch just because the judges robbed him of an obvious victory.

The fight is still mandated...
How do we know ESPN/TR didn't say to Fury let it run to purse bids and they will make sure they win? Then Wilder has to fight there, or vacate and Fury will probably end up champ anyway. It's one thing the likes of Hearn saying he will bid for it to be on DAZN, but there is no end game for DAZN with neither fighter on their platform, so they're only going to bid to a certain amount until it doesn't make financial sense anymore.
TR/ESPN can bid more, because it makes sense for their future with Fury. It's a great move for Fury. He is now in control of this fight. He's the one with network backing, Wilder doesn't have a fixed network. ESPN/Top Rank/Warren will make sure that purse bid gets won and force Wilder to fight or vacate, it's possible his team advises him to vacate if that happens.
As i've been saying, they want a return on their investment. They aren't paying $80m for nothing.

Did he owe Wilder a rematch? I suppose not, but would be a shame if we miss out on it. Was a really good HW showdown and the rematch would have been a lot bigger.
Let's see how this unfolds, maybe if SHO/ESPN are able to do a co-PPV deal here it will lead to more in the future including Spence/Crawford.

Wilder walked away from 15 mil to make 7 mil. Now that's a duck.
