  • Comments Thread For: Errol Spence: Mikey Garcia is Great Boxer, With a High Ring IQ

Upon the initial announcement of the March 16 showdown between pound-for-pound entrants Errol Spence and Mikey Garcia, the most common criticism of the pairing was the size difference. Garcia (39-0, 30KOs) comes in as a four-division titlist but moves up two weight classes to challenge for Spence's welterweight title live on Fox Pay-Per-View from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The unbeaten boxer from Oxnard, Calif. comes in on the heels of a 12-round win over Robert Easter Jr. in their lightweight title unification clash last July.

FOX did a great job with the Press Conference Coverage, true Dedication to Boxing is what they showed. Showtime better step things up and starting using CBS more to Promote their Boxing Events

Are they both under Haymon? Haymon sacrificing Mikey to Spence to get him exposure with the Mexican fan base and try and make Errol a star? I would agree if that's the case

Is Mikey gonna load his gloves? Plaster wraps? Even if he gets to Spence, can he hurt him? Mikey will have to work to get close and has no advantage when he gets there. I don't see it.

Yes, that’s exactly what’s happening to play up Errol to the Mexican fans for a bid at Canelo in the coming years if he can clean up the pbc ww’s

Mikey gonna have to set traps, disguise his power and walk Spence into something, he does have a great one-two Mikey, but he’ll have to catch Spence with something he don’t see over and over
