who cares what they make or made? none of them are starving dude....almost everyone makes less than AJ...it has literally nothing to do with why they said what they said

they said it because AJ and his people constantly made statements and went back on them then AJ went out and told the fans to train and fight if they thought it were so easy and said his fans "don't determine my career" right after saying he had to fight wilder in the UK "for the fans"...lol

Because if a fighter wants a fight hell make that fight.. especially in Aj position when he does have the pull, which doesn't look good.

And yeah, Fury won the fight. I agree. Actually believe hes the top guy at HW. Beat the man who beat the man..faced off against a young titlist who was highly rated, to reassert himself amongst the heavies.
I think they either guy could have made the fight if the really wanted to. Wilder could have accepted the 15 mil which doesn't look that bad anymore with all the figures flying
for what he earnt against I doubt that there's actually much more to be earnt in an AJ fight. For the 50 mil AJ probably gave up a bit easy saying it's for the fans but with all the BT shenanigans and refused details on Wilders side indicates maybe the offer wasn't genuine anyway showing both was kicking the can down the line.

Ultimately I'd say AJs team were happy to wait because they thought they had all the power which they could keep and the fight was only getting bigger which was all thrown in the air by Furys premature return to top level.

Wilders team were happy to wait because they had Fury in the pipeline which would boost his position against AJ (a bit of an assumption bit highly coincidental they was speaking to Frank all the time).

I'd say AJ's the No.1 HW as he beat enough top competitors to cement that position whilst Fury was away that it requires him being defeated to take that spot. You could make an argument for Fury being a better HW though.

This could be just the resellers but if it does as good or better than Wilders fight it'll strengthen AJs argument at the negotiating table especially because Wilder is pointing out that Miller is unknown. AJ and Hearn didn't have a whole lot to lose if it didn't do well they could point out that it's just AJs debut in America and that Wilder being the American champ should do better. We will see.

I love how you idiots are trying to come up with reasons why the Joshua's vs Miller fight is selling so well hahaha. Just wait until the 19th when it sells out within hours. They will say that aliens bought the tickets or something hahaha. Just get it through your thick, ****** heads. Wilder is not a big draw and he never will be. No one wants to see him beat up on bums, old guys or guys like Fury who have been off for 3 years. They gave away tickets to the Wilder vs Fury fight and it STILL wasn't a full arena hahaha. That's why AJ is the A side and thats why he gets the higher %. Understand that instead of coming up with ****** reasons as to why the fight is selling better than Wilder/Fury I, II, III or anything they can come up with. Also, get over yourselves and see what's really going on. AJ has 4 belts and he's taking over the US market.

I wonder how many tickets Wilder would sell against Miller?

"highest grossing pre-sale for a boxing event at MSG"

That's a very specific record. Particularly since the biggest boxing events in the last ten years have been at Staples Center, Barclays Center, and T-Mobile in Vegas.

I'm not saying that the event itself will be a dud. I'm just stating that the very specific "record" that was set is NOT a strong indicator that there will not be empty seats on fight night. Especially since the presale tickets were mainly the ring side seats. There are still some available if you want to check.

They have until June 1st. Thats a lot of time. I don't think there's any way they don't sell out.

Good post. I too think both sides feel waiting only makes more money. Not that they're intentionally waiting...just not averse to it.
