Instead, he was battered and knocked out in four rounds by heavy underdog Andrew Cancio at the Fantasy Spring Resort Casino in Indio, California.

Once you get yourself into title contention (at the very least) itd be smart for a fighter to invest in a S&C coach. Those old tricks of dehydrating/draining yourself come to light against better opposition. Not only that, the chances of getting ktfo & not recovering greatly increase.

He was satisfied with winning the title. I don’t think he wanted to fight Gervonta either and it’s a good thing he didn’t

I hate to make excuses for Machado or take away from Cancio's victory, but Albrerto Machado did not look like himself in there.

He needs to make the jump to 135.

It must be hell to make 130 standing 5'10"

I heard was knocked at least once in sparring recently. It may have actually been more than once, but I don't remember where I heard that unfortunately.

Many of these undefeated little fighters are massively overrated. This guy P4P is about as good as Dave Allen.

Yeah, that was no the same guy that weathered the storm against Corrales. Needs to move up.
