But not even the most ridiculous statement in that paragraph - you can argue Maidana was in his prime...he did retire right after those fights but he was only 30/31 so he probably retired to count his money.

But if you are saying Maidana was better at 147 than 140 then you are cuckoo
stop it, Judah and Paulie had 9 losses between the 2 of them with multiple stoppage losses when Khan fought them, garcia and porter had 1 close points loss. Both were ranked towards the top in their weight classes. If you don't consider them to have been top fighters during that time, then I'm not sure how long you've been a boxing fan or if you have some sort of bias. Everyone knows that maidana was better when he was trained by Robert garcia. That's not even debatable.

Lol dude you just keep doubling down huh. I didn't say Garcia or Porter weren't top fighters. You said ELITE. And you can make a case that Judah or Paulie were just as ELITE if not more so than Garcia and Porter. If you asked people who know boxing who was better, most people would say Judah and Paulie. I think you made comments about a guy in an emotional way and you didn't really know what you're talking about. And now instead of admitting you were ignorant you keep trying to twist things to suit your narrative and you look foolish.

I mean Judah lost UDs to Floyd, Baldomir, went 11 rounds with Cotto and then boxed similar with Clottey before a head butt stopped the fight and he lost closely on the cards. He hadn't lost in 3 years prior to the Khan fight. Khan KOd him in 5 rounds. Very impressive if anyone is neutral.

Paulie went 12 with Cotto, 11 with Hatton and 12 with Diaz in his losses. Khan KOd him in 11. Again very impressive if you're neutral.

Also to the bolded part - why are you trying to change the subject? We weren't talking about Maidana and Garcia. You said this:

"Floyd beat maidana at his best weight" That is 100% not true. Do some research man. God BLess.

in essence you're defending khan by down talking a guy who ko'd him in 4 in his prime. Not to mention that nobody in their right mind would say that Zab and Paulie were better than garcia and porter. You are aware that both porter and garcia stopped Paulie and garcia beat Zab right? As far as maidana, if you were to poll his 2 best performances, the majority would say they came at 147 vs broner and mayweather in the first fight. And don't act like I didn't say in my initial Comment that he was better with garcia than he was before. Garcia took over after the move to 147. What was maidana signature performance at 140? His come from behind win vs the legendary victor Ortiz??

That's like your opinion man. Yes the 147 pounders in their prime, stopped the 140 pounders at the end of their careers. I am aware of that. P4P anyone hyping Garcia and Porter that much over Paulie and Zab is just out there imo.

I'm not really defending Khan at all, more providing perspective to your initial comment where you said he had 1 win on his resume.

The part about Garcia training is irrelevant.
You said in your initial comment that Floyd beat Maidana at his best weight. I will grant you that Maidana was impressive against Broner and Floyd at 147. He also got beaten easily by Devon Alexander at 147. I think most people would agree Maidana was much more effective at 140 where he was 32-2 rather than 3-3 (granted two of those Ls were to Floyd).

but who did maidana beat at 140? Look at the records of his opponents. He faced a bunch of novices, several who had double digit losses. And yeah, you could say porter was a 147 fighter who beat 140 fighters with Paulie but garcia was a career 140 fighter, was he not?

Man I have no idea how we are even on this tangent from where we started lol.

Most notably he beat Morales and then he won a real belt at 140. Even his good fights at 147 were with Broner and Floyd who he was as big as, and then bigger than. Basically 3 guys who are 135-140 guys fighting at 147.

Similar with Paulie. Paulie was really competitive at JWW and got roughed up at WW. He just wasn't big enough.

Zab got KOd by Khan and then UD lost to Garcia and Paulie shortly thereafter.

Good point about Garcia at 140. But that fight with Paulie did happen at 147 and I just view Garcia as a natural WW and I think when you watch him fight Thurman and Porter he looks like one size wise.
