What is American culture anyway? From an outsider looking in I don’t see how you can have a culture that encompasses all of you, you seem to be a collection of states that have as varied an idea on how society should operate as can be. Some very ******* progressive states others still fly the confederate flag
You observe correctly. Ask 10 American across the country what it means to be an American or what American values are and you will likely get 10 very different answers. Though I appreciate diversity, I do think its a bad thing when there is little agreement on what the core cultural values are in a country. I don't know what its like to be a Brit. I have never visited those islands or spent any time living or working among Brits. From these boards, I will say that they do seem to swear a whole lot and are trained quite early on to be pretty damn sarcastic and negative. Overall though, this forum would not be nearly as interesting without them.

I kind of like the fact that they hate each other and that the rivalries were real when we watched them fight.

When Groves hung them up, Froch had a dig at Groves, Groves had a dig at DeGale and DeGale had a dig at Groves.
It's a bit in poor taste if it's just one of them, but when they're all at each other, then there's no love lost.

Groves and DeGale genuinely dislike each other. They trained at the same gym together as kids, then faced each other in the amateurs and pros. They are never going to put that aside and act professionally towards each other.

Eubank is coming for the rest of DeGales teeth, and then DeGale will be the one retiring.

Ha ha i’ll give you that, English, Scottish, Irish or Welsh, we do all have in common that we’re sarcastic sweary ba5tsrds. Don’t know about negative though, maybe some of the sarcasm or dry, dark humour doesn’t carry very well. We can call our mates a cnut in an affectionate manner. I don’t anybody that uses the term doughnut offensively though, maybe that’s a southern England thing or just a degale being lame thing.
At the minute the U.K. is as fragmented and polarised as its ever been with the whole Brexit ****storm. Absolute mess.

I’ve seen the reports on this and it’s lazy, lazy journalism. They quote Eubank and then reference the Badou Jack fight as to when degale lost his front teeth. It was actually yildirim that took his teeth in sparring, jack just knocked out some bridge work.
I highly doubt this happens anyway, degale by UD and neither fighter to seriously contend at world level from there. Degale past his best and Eubank not good enough.

Degale could have been so popular but he’s never got over the loss to Groves and has acted like a berk ever since. I always rated Groves higher and thought he was unlucky to not be champ sooner.

My favourite Degale moment has to be his celebration after the Badou Jack draw.

You people sound ******. Yes, Froch and Degale should have been classier, but if they don't like the guy they don't like guy. Keep it boxing. America has better boxers historically and currently, not to mention where everyone goes to make the most money. Just ask your golden boy AJ.
