Would you guys like to see a "Bracket System" in boxing?

I've been following boxing for almost 2 decades now, and to this day still don't understand how these Alphabet Organizations rank their fighters(well actually I do). Wouldn't it be much clearer for us hardworking fans who shell out money for these PPV busts, if we can get some type of system like other sports.

    For example....

Like the Final Four, PGA tournaments, Tennis and its Major tournaments, NBA playoffs, MLB , NFL playoffs, ya get the drift.

I would like for you guys to share your thoughts and ideas for the betterment of our sport.

I myself have an idea, I would like to see a bracket system, but I also like the idea of having more than 2 champs in each weightclass(it would be nice if fighters get more chances at unifying all 3 titles). You ask why, well its kinda like Tennis, if you win all 3,4,5 major tournaments in a single tennis season then you get to have the title of being a Grand Slam winner. Or just like in Horse racing, they have what they call a Triple Crown. This happens when a horse wins all 3 major horse race event.

See that's the problem right there "sometimes" it only happens when a promoter feels he needs to rev up the revenues.

It should be every year, not when the promoter feels like it. I know GBP did something not so long ago w/ his version of a boxing "world cup", i thought it was a joke though. I mean how did Mexico and Thailand actually qualify? What if there was 1 fighter from lets say Puerto Rico who was actually better than all the fighters from Mexico and Thailand... What, the fighter from P.R. doesn't get to enter the tournament 'cause it's only exclusive to 2 countries?

See the Promoters are the biggest, most disgusting virus in boxing. They(promoters) have to be completely taken off the boxing map.

If we were to actually have a bracket system and fixed prize money, i.e. Winner always gets a million and loser gets 500k. There would be no bickering over the money split. Everybody knows exactly what they are getting everytime fighters qualify for a tournament. All this "negotiating" oftens leaves us w/ no matchups at all or we end up seeing fights that should've taken 4-5 years ago.

I also think it would even up the field as far as opportunities go for fighters... It would eliminate the arguments of... Such and such fighter is duckin' this and that fighter, or Fighters from that country are scared to come over to this country.

A bracket system gives fighters a choice of joining a tournament, if he doesn't want to join it's his fault. Unlike today, even if you belong amongst the elites, a fighter is basically waiting for that call from a promoter... A call that may never happen!

Don King is the only one who runs tournaments, and the two he ran were awesome. We got Hopkins as undisputed middleweight champ in 2001 and Tyson as undisputed heavyweight champ in 1987. MORE TOURNAMENTS PLEASE

I really don't think that a bracket system can work. There will always be crooked rankings as long as sanctioning bodies and promoters run in the show instead of a national boxing commission that doesnt take kickbacks. The NBA, NFL, and MLB all have good bracket systems because they are organized. In a sport when all you need is a license and a body to compete, their can never be any clear organization for ranking.

There are too many fighters to get into brackets - too many fighters switching weight classes - fighters having different frequency of activity

The bracket system would be just as corrupt
