I was born and raised in Piedras Negras Coahuila. I don’t align myself to anyone fighter based on nationality. With that said, I can candidly admit Salido was given a W. You’re in a very small minority who thinks Loma was “beaten”.

Now if the fight went longer maybe Loma pulls it out because he was definitely rallying and had Salido in trouble.

It's not just the fact that he lost that makes it so bad, it's the the nature of the loss. Salido was meant to be a showcase opponent for a guy that was looked at as a transcendent talent. That should have been easy work for Loma if he was really as talented as they wanted us to believe.

It's a really bad loss for Loma. That was the fight that made me look at him as just a good fighter instead of a great one.

How can you determine that after just his second fight?
He lost but he lost to a weight bully who was constantly fouling the whole fight.
It is what it is so yes he lost that fight but what he has done after this loss shouldn't you be considering these fights as well to overall how good he is?
I know Loma hasn't got the one punch K/O power that people love but he's a dam good boxer/fighter that leaves nothing to chance.
You gotta love a guy that puts his all into his career.
              Wherever that takes him.

I judge him so harshly for that loss because it was Salido. Don't care about the weight difference. Don't care that it was only Loma's "second fight". We're talking about Salido. That's a guy he should have beaten with his eyes closed. Arum felt the same way, that's why he made the fight.

And yeah, he's beaten some decent opponents since then, but they were just decent. Some of those guys even gave him trouble. Like I said, I see him as a good fighter, but not elite. Now if he had beaten Mikey or Pac convincingly that would have been something

It’s your opinion and one that sits with a very tiny minority who will agree with you. He may have engaged in a rough and ugly brawl as you put it against Salido but it was not a beating. A beating is what Salido put on JM Lopez, those were beatings.

People still holding that Split Decision loss to Salido against Loma are ******. If Loma's name was Robert Easter he would have won that fight. Every great fighter has gotten gifts, Loma hasn't had a gift yet. They could have easily gave that title to Lomachenko and no one would speak about that anymore or criticise him for it. Salido vs Lomachenko was as close as Mayweather vs Castillo. But one guy got the benefit of the doubt and the other didn't. He has beaten better fighters so it doesn't matter anymore. I think Crolla gets the Sosa treatment
