Deontay Wilder's camp was set to pay Joshua just under £35.75m for his guarantee on the first fight in the Fall, with basically £21.5m as his guarantee on the rematch (which would've likely happened this Winter), with Joshua likely able to get another fight (hindsight, this may have been the Fury fight) as undisputed champion before June.

£45m in ten months versus at least £57m over less time (with a third fight having the chance to push the haul to over at least £80m for a year's work)

What's shrewd about leaving half of your money on the table?
Shrewd as he is making all those millions with no risk. Wilder took a risk fighting for 10 million and got his ears boxed off. He could have lost his belt as well.

Admittedly AJ being shrewd doesn’t benefit me as I want to see him fight the best but if he wins which he will the only person that will make him rue not taking the money is if Wilder loses. Then again AJ vs Fury is still a huge fight

      • 32 million and AJ has sold zilch in America so far. Hearn is giving it away trying to prove how precious his diva is. It's like he's saying, look everybody we're going to screw the Americans too. No you're not.

"Last year, while DAZN showed tremendous growth, with revenues rocketing from £8.7m to £90.8m, the overall Perform Group, which also sells some digital sports rights to other media groups, saw its operating losses quadruple from £50.8m to £214m."

DAZN be paying fighters 30 million yet they aint even making a profit. Do people really believe that the Canelo made enough revenue for DAZN to pay his purse? DAZN is crazy to think AJ will be able to draw in the US like Canelo. DAZNs operating loses will surely double again this year

But, they DID meet. Hence Hearn was able to confirm that the finances were legit, in order, and would be paid.

Whatever you have to say about a lack of meeting or a lack of contract is pointless. You are complaining about things that Hearn himself was not complaining about after the 50 million offer was made.

Hearn and Joshua made a request of Fifty million dollars. That request was met. That request was verified. That request was declined because of venue and network concerns by the very same team that made the request in the first place. There is no room for email answering and contract presentations In this timeline. The people who you are defending had issue WITH VENUE AND TV RIGHTS. NOT WITH TAKING A MEETING.

Miller will absorb Joshua’s punches far better than anyone else he has faced due to that size advantage.
Hahaha. Joshua has already fought more of the wbc's top 10 then wilder has. Why didn't wilder fight klitchko if he was so washed up? Didn't even want it after watching Joshua knock him out, who did he call out at Wembley? Not klitchko not Joshua ****ing then cruiserweight tony bellew you talk about a 41 year old wlad like the best name on wilders resume isn't a 40+ year old never has been with high blood pressure. Wilder lost against fury you idiot, you don't get credit for getting a gift decision in a cherry pick gone wrong

No they didn't. The were scheduled to meet and Finkel cancelled, telling Hearn/Joshua to accept the offer before meeting or revealing the full terms.

This **** is well known. You don't know that, you don't know **** and it's not worth discussing anything with you. You're clueless.

Also the offer had a 24 hour deadline.

Yes. Now that you have declined 50 million dollar guarantee, and now that negotiations have reset and you are offering wilder a different purse split, you want a meeting. And fair play to them. That’s great. But I want you to understand, that they want a meeting AFTER they declined the 50 million.

My initial post was to a response where someone asked about a contract for the 50 million, as if the lack of the contract was the issue the offer was not accepted. Everything I have said to this point is to refute that this was the case.

I am not saying Hearn doesn’t want the fight, or Joshua doesn’t want the fight, or Wilder doesn’t want the fight. I’m not placing overall blame on any party.

All I am saying, so we are clear, is Hearn admitted that the 50 million dollars offered to him by Finkel/ Wilder was legit, and he turned it down anyway. Not because of a lack of a meeting. Not because of a lack of contracts. But because he did not want to give full promotional control to Wilders side. This is a fact. Do with this fact as you will.

Because he couldn't give full promotional control. Joshua has contracts. They were making deals with BT (confirmed by Warren) when Joshua has a contract with SKY.
