Nope. Story contains the fact that Loma chose a fight inbetween 2 other fights of that year while Davis' last year contained one fight 10 month ago... against another newcomer from lower weight... and after year and a half layout... after a loss... to the same Abner fking Mares!

I’d have to agree. I think fans just want to see more activity and at least one live body a year. But he could definitely start by upping that activity. If he fights Farmer by years end, he’ll be on his way to being who we expect him to be.

machado was champ. tank instead of fighting him fought weak ass little cuellar coming off a loss and somehow jumped the champ and became super champ. so if machado is so weak what does that make tanks opponents...you dont understand boxing at all. his only leverage was his status as champion. all that leverage was given away to tank when the wba let him jump machado. now the best he can get is 25 percent if the fight was mandated. until then davis can just avoid him like he's been doing. he obviously has no interest in fighting the best guys in his division and isnt going to do it voluntarily. checked his resume? they are in manufacture a star mode. hence all the little guys because they want him to score explosive ko's.

Well Mares had a major injury so its either cancel the fight or find someone who is available.

On the one hand it sucks that this guy is going to be fighting twice in 3 weeks but on the other hand it means he is probably still in good shape from his last camp.

Also any big name isnt going to take a fight against anybody on a weeks notice because they dont have to and have the negotiating power to back it up. You will get lower tier guys willing to take that risk for a pay day.
