Comments Thread For: DeGale Says PED Use Continues To Be Widespread in Boxing

According to former super middleweight world champion James DeGale, performance enhancing drugs is still very widespread in the sport of boxing. Over the last few years, countless fighters have been wrapped up in drug testing scandals - including big names like Canelo Alvarez and Tyson Fury. DeGale is currently in camp for a scheduled showdown with rival Chris Eubank Jr., which takes place on February 23 at the O2 Arena in London.

What’s the difference between taking PEDs and eating right? Surely both things give a boxer a chance to inflict more damage?

I think all PEDs should be allowed to level the playing field

Prohibition. 100% guaranteed to never work. It does create thousands of policing jobs that waste millions of dollars and jack up the price of the banned substances for the criminal rackets to get rich on.

                    It has been widespread forever.
I'm just amazed that people are only taking it seriously recently.
Take a look at Holyfield when he was cruiserweight and then shortly after he moved up to heavyweight.
