He was really good. Valdez is a bit undersized for him. I’m a huge Valdez fan, but I can’t see Valdez making much noise passed 126. Lopez is too young and unproven to compare him to casamayor. But casamayor could really go.

Probably beat Valdez? lol Casa would ruin the kid. All his wide looping shots, Casa would have a field day with him. Domination.

I cant even talk about Lopez cuz he hasnt done sht but Casa would murder him.

Casamayor has a case as the greatest Cuban fighter of all time.

I don't think so, Kid Chocolate, Kid Gavilan and Jose Napoles could argue they were better, specially Napoles. Luis Manuel Rodriguez was a heck of a boxer too, young Cassius Clay learned a lot from him. Kid Tunero fought all over the World and no Champ ever gave him a shot, he even said in a interview that he would pull off his punches because was afraid of killing someone. And we are talking only about a few fighters because Cuba loss a least 50 years of professional sports.

He has no case. I think Casamayor was brilliant but just no.

Jose Napoles, Luis Rodriguez, Kid Gavilan, Kid Chocolate (the original) are so far ahead of him it’s not even funny. Rodriguez beat about 40-45 legitimately high ranked opponents, very often weighing in as a Welterweight schooling elite middleweights. Napoles dominated as the true Welterweight champion for 7-8 years all whilst basically being a puffed up lightweight. All four of those are certain top 75s ever. I’d probably have Rodriguez top 40-50, Napoles and Gavilan top 30. Chocolate probably around 40-60 too though some historians think he’s the best of the lot.

Then you’ve got Sugar Ramos and Jose Legra that are closer to Casamayors level but probably slightly better than him.

Rodriguez is one of my favorites of all-time. Same for Napoles.

No matter how fast you were, Casamayor could catch you in the middle of your shít like it was another day at the office. Crazy hand speed, his IQ in the pocket is ATG level. Teofimo is strong, but he's really predictable and his size and speed advantage overpower his opponents. Casamayor would beat him at his own game and force Lopez into a plan-b which I don't think he has one.
