Kovalev a class act in the ring, a fantastic boxer who has demonstrated courage, heart and redemption by claiming the light heavyweight title for the 3rd time. This is what marks a true champion, he came up against challenges however he has overcome them. I wonder if he has 2 or 3 more fights to finish his career very very strong ...

Alvarez didn't fight! Alvarez barely threw any punches.

Kov outboxed him the first time and owned him the second. Kov overtrained the first and thats obvious. Alvarez got skunked. He belongs with Chilemba and Berrera. Thats a tough crowd. Not elite by any means.

Fact! He was hurt twice. Kov could have closed the show. He instead used excellent discipline to win decisively.

Alvarez could compete boxing wise but kept relying on a big punch to send Kovalev out on his back which never came!

He allowed Kov to get a rhythm and use the ring!

Ward gave this guy the blueprint but he was too blinded by his KO victory in the first fight to change it up!

In a 3rd fight Alvarez could win if he boxes smart and puts pressure and work the body more!
