Unless they pay Breazeale out of his nose I cannot see how this fight happens.

They would need to pay Breazele same or more he would have made fighting Wilder. At least that would make financial sense. Deep down Breazele must know he is no champion material so unless it's a butt load of money, why would he risk his ranking? Whyte would be favourite for sureComment

Hearn is under serious pressure to deliver now. This AJ saga has lost him a lot of popularity. On top of that his output has been terrible for DAZN and his Sky cards have reduced in depth and quality as well.Comment

Whyte thought as Joshua's "best" option outside of Wilder and Fury that he could drive up his side of the purse fee, but his bluff was called. Now it looks like Joshua is making his USA debut against Miller, which may be the better long term option for his career.
This left Whyte with 3 realistic options which were openly mentioned; Breazeale, Ortiz and Pulev. In terms of talent and ability, Breazeale is the easiest option of the 3 but as he is Wilder's "mandatory" challenger (surely the point of naming a mandatory challenger is to give them a title shot) he's the one the makes most sense from a career standpoint.
Surely the WBC will not sanction a 3rd Wilder-Fury fight as that would take their belt off the market to others for the best part of 2 years in total - so if Whyte beats Breazeale then Hearn is laughing his ass off as he would then hold Wilder's next 2 options for opponents.Comment
