GGG offered to fight him at 154, where Floyd was champ after beating Canelo

No, there were no great challenges for him at welterweight, aside from unproven Keith Thurman or unproven Brook, both had only fought bums and C levels at that point. There were no Spence or Crawford making noise in the division back then

There were no great challenges for him at SWW either, he had already beaten ginger, and a fight with Lara lost any little interest it once had after Lara got beaten by Nelo

So GGG was the next logical challenge for "TBE", fans were already putting the pressure on him, Floyd wanted none of that, so he decided to call it a day before looking like a ducker again

When you’re an up and coming pro boxer in their early 20’s and a promoter comes to you offering you money and a chance at a world title you’re not gonna say “no, you robbed mike Tyson, I’m going to stay as a club fighter and see if another criminal promoter wants to sign me. If not, guess I ruined my only chance at a boxing career!”

Don wouldn’t have made him take that chance, Vanes jumped at it, chances are Don isn’t getting him work after that though, and he was likely “guaranteed” a good fight or two at 154

Vanes was with Al Haymon bruh. He *****ed and complained that he was inactive and went with Don King so what you said dont apply to looney Vanes.

He was a pretty solid fighter. I was at the fight with Charlo and like most, I felt he did enough to get the decision in that one. He didn't disgrace himself vs. a prime Lara either.
