To have more reasons to stop fight? In most cases it's obvious but I don't think it would hurt.
Is the corner allowed to get an idea of how far down their fighter is?

HELL NO, never, cause then we get sorry fights, open scoring has been tried and everyone hated it.
Theirs nothing wrong sending yoru fighter out there to try his hand even though he might get KTFO, this is the hurt business. KTFO are part of the sport.
Imagine we implement every precaution remove KO, and TKO's lmfao. all we get is a few rounds and RTD's victorys non stop lmfao. -
I only disagree because fighters are usually trying to make a career. Their body is the asset, the more damage they sustain unnecessarily the less valuable they will be long term.HELL NO, never, cause then we get sorry fights, open scoring has been tried and everyone hated it.

It's just unnecessary on so many levels when they are down big.Comment

I've been a fan forever of boxers knowing where they stand in a fight. Its absolutely ******ed to me boxing is the only sport (I can think of) where you don't know where you are at to make adjustments with your strategy or as you are suggesting with stopping a lopsided fight.
I know a lot of fans have some weirdo "I like the suspense" angle. Which is often about will someone be robbed cuz 99% of the time we all know whos winning or if a fight is or should be close with reasonable quality judges scoring the fight so idk what is better than the actual suspense in the fight vs this perceived suspense over someone getting effed over. Also what would be more suspenseful than going into the final round knowing for a fact the fight was on the line?
But fair play. Don't tell the whole arena the score. But for f#cking sure tell fighters where they are at in a fight. I think athletes in a sporting event deserve to know whats working or isn't working in the moment to give themselves the best chance to succeed in this always risky sport.Comment

Thats a choice they make, Do you get to tell a firefighter which Fires to fight? If they willing to put their body on the line for the victory that their choice, its the HURT Business, boxing allows for it.Comment

I agree big time. It could even be a threshold, like if they are down by 3-4 or more, tell the fighter, maybe even corner. 90% of these dudes are so beaten up that even if they land there hardest punch clean the power usually isn't there.I've been a fan forever of boxers knowing where they stand in a fight. No one should have to tell a fighter if they're losing or not. If a guy doesn't know, only the judges themselves can convince him.Comment
