Comments Thread For: Team Miller: Joshua Talks Moving Forward, But Not A Done Deal

Rumors of Anthony Joshua abandoning his April 13 date in London in favor of a U.S. debut in June have become a reality. His long-rumored showdown with Jarrell Miller is rapidly heading in that direction as well, although not yet quite final. Talks have progressed between the pair of unbeaten heavyweights to collide in early June at Madison Square Garden, Miller's handlers have informed BoxingScene.com. However, there still remains enough unresolved details to not yet consider it a done deal.

I’m not sure what I’d hoped for in regards to AJ’s next fight, Hearn clearly doesn’t want Fury near his man and I get the impression he’d prefer Wilder over Fury yet their is clear reluctance from Hearn to make that fight too.

So this year we get AJ vs Miller and Pulev not terrible but could be better yet I suppose it could be far worse, Whyte and Usyk will have to wait until 2020 I guess and their is the small issue Wilder aint gonna happen any time soon ffs.

The one fight I really wanted I suppose was the Wilder fight yet I don’t believe Wilder will beat Fury in the rematch and upon Fury collecting the green belt we’ll never see the Wilder AJ fight, maybe in 2021 we’ll get AJ vs Fury doubtful still.

As an American, of course it would be nice to see Baby win, he will be the crowd favorite that night, everyone loves a big happy fat guy, and Babymay even cause some excitement, I see this fight as another Lennox Lewis/Ray Mercer, but not as close, AJ should stop Miller in the middle rounds, Miller does not have the firepower to keep AJ off of him, or hurt him to the point that it would be discouraging, AJ is the taller, longer, stronger man with superior boxing technique.

On another note, I am not sure how much leverage Miller has in these discussions, he needs to be quiet and take the deal.

                Miller will stop AJ.
                Statistics coupled with Murphy's law.
                This is Hearn's karma.

Unfortunately Big Baby Miller doesn't have access to the Olympic training facilities and techniques that Joshua has. Big Baby Miller will put up a good fight early on but then he will tire and get stopped in the later rounds. At the post fight press conference he'll blame his loss on his fitness, stamina and endurance levels just like Dillian Whyte did. Training at a gym and training through the Olympic system are two completely different things and that's one of the reasons AJ is on another level.
