As interesting as this sounds, do you guys think they're kind of rushing Lopez for a title? He's still green. They should take their time with him otherwise he might be another Lubin in the making

It depends who he fights. I think if he beats Magdaleno and Pedraza he's probably good enough to beat Commey or perhaps Campbell (if they go the WBC route) or a title holder moving up like Davis or Berchelt but within 12-18 months or 2-3 fights he's not ready for Lomachenko. The people that will demand that fight now saying Lopez will win will be the first to jump off his bandwagon and discredit Lomachenko for beating him too. I don't think that's a fight they should try and make because he'd lose comfortably but if the demand is there then why not I guess?

Lopez is probably Top Rank's brightest prospect so I think he should be moved steadily. He's probably already more advanced than other prospects despite having similar number or lesser fights and being younger. He's not playing catch-up either.

This kid is moving up way too fast. He's in a hard position because, due to this style, he's easily blasting out lower level opponents with ease. I admire his ambition but it seems they are moving him too fast and this could hurt his career.

I agree with everything you said. Lopez shouldn't be talking about other future opponents or a title since Magdaleno could pull an upset. I mean look what happened with Dogboe when he underestimated Navarrate. Not sure if Loma expressed interest in fighting Lopez. Would be a bad idea if they set him up for a title fight at the end of the year. He's too green

I see what you did there. You played out Tank & made l0m0 into "he's not ready for."

What they need to do is make Lopez vs Haney later this year and the winner to get a shot at the title in early 2020. The winner of that matchup would absolutely be worthy of a title fight. Two highly touted guys going at it and the winner comes out possibly looking like a future star.

Unless he is as good as he appears to be. Then he will be unifying 15 fights into his career.

Yes! Haney and Lopez would be a war but I doubt Arum would pull the trigger and get on board to make this fight anytime soon
