There are plenty of examples. Castillo knocked out Corrales in the rematch. Vasquez knocked out Marquez in their second fight. Klitschko stopped Lamon Brewster the second time. Adonis Stevenson beat Darnell Boone in a rematch. Jean-Marc Mormeck beat Owen Bell in a Cruiserweight title rematch after being Ko'd the first time. Cotto beat Margarito in the rematch. I'm thinking about the Alvarez vs Kovalev rematch as was wondering if there were fights where a fighter lost the first fight by knockout and won the rematch? Only one I can think of is Lewis vs Rahman and McCall and Alvarado vs Rios

It happens all the time. Joe Louis was KOed by Schmeling in 12 rounds and Louis KOed him in the first round of the rematch. Wlad KOed a couple of guys who had knocked him out. Tony Zale KOed Rocky Graziano then Graziano KOed Zale and then Zale KOed Rocky in the third fight. Johansson KOed Patteson and Patterson KOed him twice in return bouts.

it's happened quite a few times. most of the examples you'll find are obviously at HW, where everybody can punch and anything can happen.

patterson was dropped 7 times against johannsen and won two rematches via knockout
ezzard charles got knocked out by lloyd marshall and stopped him. did it again against a guy named john holman late in his career after getting beat up by rocky marciano.
