Why do people say Pacquiao only won 2 rounds in the Floyd fight?

Nailed it.Because they're idiots and they believe whatever the commentators tell them. There is a Top Rank commentary out there somewhere with Andre Ward and Col Bob Sheridan which is by far the best commentary on the fight, actually calling it play by play and not draining the fun out of it.
I thought it was 5-3 after 8 and 9 was mighty close. 10 Pac prob won so I could see a 7-5 scorecard, but I had it 8-4. I think anything between 9-3 and 7-5 was about right. For me it was a fight where it was still up for grabs and then Floyd closed the show, and actually if it was called that way, would have been more exciting for the fans
Thats what pissed me off most was that it was misinterpreted by most of the media as an easy fight, whereas it was actually a difficulty but tactical fight. This misinterpretation was then fed to the fans, and I really feel that most people missed the essence of the fight, which was a good one. But the commentators have a big effect on the fans, and the enjoyment unfortunately.
I had it 8-4 and could see 7-5 or 9-3 depending on what people like.
The same goes for GGG Canelo fights. Depending on what you like it could vary 1-2 rounds (which is huge in a boxing fight)Comment

That was one of the easiest fights of Mayweathers career. He never even stepped out of first gear. Complete and utter domination.Comment

Hey dummy, I review the tapes instead of just parroting stuff from other people. What I saw is a good competitive fight. If you think that Floyd won easy, that's on you and more power to you, but I review the tapes and find that Floyd struggled and won a close fight. The point is Floyd won Manny lost by how much doesnt mean anything, Floyd was never under pressure was never out of control, you people want to some how make a loss better , Manny fckn lost kid wtf is wrong with you talking up a loss, Floyd won in cruise control beating Manny easy and Manny did nothing.Comment

I gave Floyd maybe 4 or 5 rounds also. Maybe 6 if generous to floyd. Maybe A draw would have been acceptable for on the whole A unsatisfactory fight.
A lot of his work was too pitty pat. Ggg was hitting Nell far harder than Floyd was to pac.
I refuse to even count a lot of clouds tapsLast edited by hugh grant; 02-01-2019, 09:41 AM.Comment

Two judges scored it 116–112 and the other 118–110. A lot of people felt the 118-110 score reflected what they saw.It was a close fight. Up until the 11th round. I had it even going into the 11th. Then Floyd won the 11th and 12th, making it 7-5 Floyd in my book.
I noticed in the HBO/Showtime commentary they were all over Floyd's ****, even though Floyd was fighting a little scared, not landing or throwing much, and Pacquiao was getting shots in.
My view of the fight was a lot closer to This video, but I still had Floyd winning 7-5. Pacquiao fought the wrong fight. He was fighting a 12 round fight, and you can't do that against mayweather. You have to fight round by round, putting it all on the table and taking what you can get, round by round, minute by minute. Pacquiao didn't give it all, and that's what it takes to beat the best fighter in the world. That's what it takes to be the best.
You thinking it was 7-5 seems like you are going out of your way to give Manny rounds. You created a thread saying IYO Broner won 5 rounds against Manny when most people had him winning 0 rounds.
Maybe your scoring system has some internal flaws.Comment

You have absolutely no credibility.I gave Floyd maybe 4 or 5 rounds also. Maybe 6 if generous to floyd. Maybe A draw would have been acceptable for on the whole A unsatisfactory fight.

Yea. Around 3. 4 would be very generous. He simply couldn't control or land anything effective. Once he landed that one shot and had Floyd against the ropes, I told everyone the fight is over. That's it.
They're like what? I said that's all he has. They're like Floyd? LOL. I'm like, no that's the best Pac can give. He's done.
During the Mosley fight, the guys I was watching it with were mad at Mosley for running so much. I tried to explain that Pac is the reason the fight is like this. He comes straight forward and doesn't mix up his attack at all. Can't fight on the inside, adapt or switch up his style. They didn't like that but it's the same thing that happened with the Floyd fight. Straight forward... straight forward... straight forward.Comment
