And cancel this whole show? Can Loma step in on a short notice at 130?

Good fight, Shafikov always brings it... Improvement from undersized Mares imo.
Shafikov is 5lbs heavier tho, unless he dropped a class and I haven't heard

He's not been training and is in Ukraine now but they probably don't even have the guts to offer it but then again I think that would be even more chicken **** than the blatant ducking he's been doing of the fight anyway.

I don't know if they'll be able to find another fighter coming off a loss and going up in weight.

Thank You! Why is it so hard to accept that PBC, TR, and GBP have responsibilities to their business partners? I would ask Ricardo Nunez, or Edner Cherry to take the fight vs. Tank Davis! They were scheduled to fight on Lara vs. Castano in March. That's the kind of fight Tank needs anyway!

They do that and next thing you know is Tank is on some weird monastery in another continent.

I like Mares, but he made an ass of himself this time around. As we all know, injuries do occur, but the fight is next week....so either he was still training or this injury happened recently and he can't seem to shake it.

Either way, this whole situation sucks. Mares was ALL over social media for MONTHS practically begging for this fight and now this!? Tuh! Bro, get it together already.

I just hate when a guy pulls out of a fight and we as fans are stuck waiting to see who the last-minute sacrifice will be. Smh
