What's the alternative here though? Who will the replacement be? Mares was at least a name to be put on Davis resume'. I believe they were selling very well and they had to open up some additional seating so this sucks if Mares has to pull out.

I’m glad. It was a waste of time mismatch. Hopefully Mares stays at 126 where he’s already too small.

Maybe Davis can just try to fight one of the top guys at his weight class since they are all available and eager to face him. Maybe offer himself to fight Lomachenko in April?

So far its just a rumor. If its true it'll be broke later today by Mike, Lance or Dan. There was a article just yesterday on Davis moving camp to LA.

Just saw Mares IG post and he all but confirmed his injury and having to pull out.

Welp, Tom Brown usually will put on the UC someone that will be able to step in if there is an injury to the main event. He does it all the time just recently had Ortiz on the Wilder/Fury UC and Korobov on the Charlo/WMJ undercard. So which 130 pounder is on the UC that could step in for Mares?
