That's normal wording at this stage. When you sue someone, you claim he/she cause some kind of damage to you. After presenting your evidence during a hearing, the court decides whether it's admissible or not.

Going by what the news says, the case was just brought to court. ATM, everything will be merely a claim.

But yeah... her version sounds pretty weird to say the least; especially Kovalev emerging form the bushes to call her out

I'm not discussing the word "claim" being different from how it will be used in a legalistic way when it comes to lawsuits and the courts. I know the legalistic definition and use of the word claim. My fault I should of explained my position better. I am talking about how TMZ's so-called reporting did not try to verify the allegations as true.

A true journalist would not just report Kovalev is being sued they would talk with possible witnesses and Ms Frontz, they would request evidence from Ms. Frontz to back up her allegations, which would of been a rather simple task. That is what responsible journalism is.

Reporting just Ms. Frontz allegations and using the excuse that they are just reporting about the lawsuit is bull. They want to print a one-sided **** story and use the excuse they are just covering the lawsuit to do it. When the press only prints one party's allegations in a lawsuit it is going to be a one-sided story and people reading it will assume its all true. The press has a responsibility to go deeper. TMZ should of talked to witnesses, taled to MS Frontz, checked the hospital, ask her for pics of her injuries, etc. Then they should of wrote whether her suit lines up with what facts they gathered about the story.

So instead of doing what is professional TMZ instead goes the lazy route in covering the story. They can print the story the way they did. They can exploit the allegations without doing what a journalist should do and that is get to the truth. I know its TMZ, but even the National Enquirer have basic professional standards.

It seems like it's just one more click-bait story about woman looking to dig some gold by defaming a guy with a name and decent money. Of course the good people at TMZ will salivate.
