Horses are really not that difficult to knock out. Knocking out a gorilla or bear would be MUCH tougher than KOing a horse. I personally know more than one person who has punched a horse in the head and dropped it, but I've never, ever, heard of someone flooring a gorilla with a punch. The body mass of the creature receiving a blow to the head is secondary in importance; bone density of the skull and the viscosity of the protective fluid around the brain are the most decisive elements when it comes to determining how well something can take a blow to the head.

Grizzly bears weigh less than bulls but in most historical bear vs. bull fights, the bear crushes the bull's skull like a beer can with one paw swipe. Grizzly bears have a stronger, denser bone structure than bulls.

    Weight is not everything.

I've witnessed a friend of my dads knocking out a horse.

He hit it once, and its legs gave way.

        So of course it's possible.

WHo would win between a Gorilla and a Grizzly bears?

I actually own two horses myself. One of them has been being a bit of a ***** lately. Maybe I should go out back and test the strength of my straight left.

Rockin' I've been okay. I need to find a new job pretty soon and then I'll feel better. Sucks not knowing where the next paycheck is coming from.

As for the subject of gorilla vs. bear, I'll put my money on a full grown male grizzly over pretty much any other living land animal except for say an elephant or rhino.

Polar bears are bigger but physically weaker and, more importantly, less aggressive. The grizzly would pound the polar bear into mush despite being smaller.

I remeber, back, where I am from, when hunters went to hunt for the bear, not grizzly, your regular brown bear, they went in atleast of groups of 5 people, no less.
And thats European Brown bear, not black one.

                      Straight from the horse's mouth:

                      • And Roberto Duran, who was in the Valley last week to promote Casamayor's victory, couldn't think of a current fighter who compares to him. "None of the fighters today want it badly enough," said Duran, who says he once knocked out a horse. "None of them are smart enough. They are all protected. They don't want to fight this guy because he is too strong, or that guy because he is too fast. I would fight anyone." Even a horse.
