I can't see a problem, I like manny pacquiao as a fighter, I like Mayweather too (go figure? I'm not sure if this is allowed on this forum).

In fact I'd say they're the two best fighters of this era. If Pacquiao can't get the Mayweather rematch (which I have no problem with as I see it going the same way as the first fight) then Thurman is a really good opponent for Pacquiao right now.

It'll be a good fight and a 50/50 fight in my view, maybe 60/40 Thurman as I believe it was just ring rust that caused his last performance.

I just don't get the fanboys on here sometimes, if you're a boxing fan then appreciate boxing.

I think the fight makes sense. I'd rather see it then have Mayweather come back to fight him. Thurman is the regular champ and Manny the interim or whatever he is.. I'd watch it for sure and I didn't watch the Broner fight cause that bum doesn't deserve peoples money.

This is a much better fight than floyd. Floyd isn't worthy to fight pac now.

I’m for it. I am a Floyd fan and I think Pacquiao outboxes Thurman. Thurman only could win by KO I think.

Oh yeah let’s not forget Floyd’s fights against the world beaters Berto ortrees and the mighty Guerrero

now that there is talks of this match up, and the potential of even increasing manny's ATG's status, it NOW seems like the floyd fans doesnt want it no more. yall some funny bunnies man!!!
Dangerous fight for manny imo. We can easily be fooled by thurman’s ring rust for 2 years of layoff and injuries.
That’s like being fooled by fury’s performances against pianetta and the other guy.
As a big fan, I still hope manny retires asap. The last few fights i wanted him to participate in was against broner and khan.
Now the latter is unavailable so.... and former just got done.

Other fights don’t really excite me more than it scares me. Being an offensive fighter at 40, with lots of mileage and wars behind it, is no joke in this sport. We have seen it happen over and over again to great fighters throughout the history. Unless you’re ultra defensive — which don’t require as much energy as the way Pac fights.
He’s feints are nowhere close to what they used to, he can be timed easier than before. But no one is skilled enough, or powerful enough to have pulled it off yet. But sometimes it’ll take just one lucky punch to find that chin — which i believed has not been tested for years now.

One last fight in the Phil and that’s it. If pac have gotten thurman that fought lopez then it would’ve been a win. Now the rust has been shaken off, bad parameter to totally base on if u ask me.
