PBC on FOX: Thurman vs Lopez Averages 1.98M Viewers

    Edit: More numbers below:

Slightly better than the Charlo brother card last month. Didn't do as well in the 18-49 demo as the Charlo's card though. But nonetheless another card where the average is close to 2M and the peak will likely be in the 2.2-2.3M range.

Actually probably peaked over 2.5M if the Thurman fight averaged 2.48M. Good numbers, especially when you take into consideration the telecast averaged 2.1M with Deportes numbers.

FOX is paying way less for PBC rights than they were for the UFC and doing better numbers. This is a win for both parties so far.

Paying about half for the PBC compared to the UFC. They out did the NHL all star game, but the 18-49 demo was lacking for this fight. But a part of that likely had to do with the GS/BOS game on ABC. The 18-49 demo is always insane for NBA games, so the PBC card lost some viewers there.

And they were paying over $100 million a year for the UFC and didn't get a cut of the ppv money. I see an extension come 4 years.

I want to see the numbers on a match high profile match up on FOX. Like what if we get Thurman/Porter II on FOX? Or how about LSC vs GRJ?

May 11th card with JRock/Hurd and then possibly Charlo/Harrison on the UC will be a good test.

I will support anyone who puts out cards that are not PPV.
I don't care who they are, it is good for boxing.

True I was wondering that also. We got 2 cards in a row of perceived easy fights. Plant vs Uzcategui set records on FS1, but both were unknown.

The NBA games will take ratings away. Come mid may NBA will be gone (from Saturday Night) until about Sep when NFL and college ball start.

Not sure how MLB games challenge Boxing.

Was a entertaining Card I think they can build on that number though once they start rolling out bigger match ups on Fox instead of showcase fights which lucky for us they've been more competitive than we originally expected so far

                    Good number. Really good fight.

I hope PBC keeps it simple and does Thurman/Manny and match Spence/Garcia winner with Porter/Ugas winner this summer and have the winners fight on PPV in December.
