Gerald Mclellan vs Julian Jackson 1: absoloute insanity from G man

Imagine if a heavyweight fought Deontay Wilder

Now Imagine that heavyweight marching forward with NO DEFENCE, taking wilders best punches flush on the chin repeatedly, and then walking through him and knocking him out.

It's almost impossible to picture isn't it.

Well, go have a look at Gerald Mclellan vs Julian Jackson because that's basically what I just described at middleweight.

Legendary fight and a great comeback from behind by Mclellan. I don't remember him not having any defense but I remember him taking a couple of hard shots and being hurt a couple of times. I used to go back and watch that fight before sparring and it always punped me up.

In the rematch Mclellan showed why he was on a different level where he won with relative ease. Very unfortunate what happened to him later and that fight against Jackson probably contributed to it. people talk about GGG being the biggest puncher in middleweight history, I be like you guys have no idea, Julian Jackson was bar none the biggest puncher from 168lbs down in the history of the sport.

Jackson's KO of Terry Norris is one that really sticks in my mind,

That was terrifying too, the way Norris fell. He was never the same afterwards and also suffered the effects of brain trauma later in life. Crazy power in a crazy sport.

yup, you'd need an imaginaton for that, wilder rarely hits flush, too wild.

Jackson's knockout of Herol Graham is one of the best KO's of all-time.

Graham was boxing Julian's ears of for 4 rounds until ****, Grahams light's were out before he hit the canvas.

came here to say this aswell, with power like that you're always in the fight, he was a 'live by the sword, die by the sword' kind of fighter, very entertaining

You weep for these guys watching those kind of fights and seeing that they never made groundbreaking money for those fights and people tap dancing in the ring or fighting average oppositions made way more but man, WHAT A FIGHT. These two guys have never been in a bad fight.

Thread would be a lot better if you posted the fight.

I am going to search for it. 'I have seen it before, I believe they had two fights'.
